A Bed & Breakfast located in New Harmony, Indiana with two available second floor private bedrooms (shared bath), fresh linens, towels, robes, locally made soaps, full breakfast, and late afternoon hors d’oeuvres.

The original section of this house was built by the Harmonists who arrived in New Harmony in the early 1800’s. The original poplar floors are preserved and intact. Saved in the early 2000’s from demolition, this house adds to the diversity and fabric of this noteworthy town. A Bed & Breakfast situated on North St, the unique character of New Harmony is seen from the Gothic style front porch.

In your leisure time take a moment to admire the innkeepers collection of local art, as well as state and international artwork. The Leather Leaf Inn is also a showcase for period antiques. The owners of this residence have been in New Harmony for over 20 years, they love sharing stories of the town’s distinctive history and are good guides of  cultural events.

How Leather Leaf Inn was named.

The Southern Magnolia Tree produces a shiny, waxy leaf that feels like leather to the touch. Hence the name “Leather Leaf”, and you will find a rather large, well tended Magnolia on the Innkeeper’s property.
